I am so happy Nick and Lucy were from the UK and used to rain. On the night of the plan to propose, which I helped Nick concoct, it was pretty soggy but these two definitely shone bright. So romantic!
A sneak preview of a late summer in the mountains engagement session.
It was pretty cool to meet Gabby and Sam for the first time in person, not on Skype at their engagement session. I love engagement sessions, especially in Banff and in the mountains or on a hike to take some time to get to know the couple. I know if helps ease nerves for wedding day photos. I also am happy to meet people and chat about their lives. They live in BC and are getting married here next summer at the lovely Calgary Golf and Country Club.
Of course I couldn’t resist a shot on the Parks Canada red chairs. I have a photo of my family on a them in New Brunswick. It’s a pretty cool bit of Canadiana!

Tomorrow is their big day. I can't wait for Melanie and Cori's wedding. They are hilarious and definitely a close and loving couple. It is an honour to be chosen to photograph their wedding as Melanie is a talented photographer herself!
