Leanna and Steven - The Lake House Wedding Photographer

Perfect timing for this post as we are having a fall snowstorm. It didn’t see to both Leanna and Steven one bit as they were prepared. Their style could not have been more elegant with modern, bright touches of colour. When I met them, I found out they have been long-time loves and this wedding was a ceremony to celebrate a love that has existed for a long time. To see the talented vendors who helped bring Leanna and Steven’s vision to a gorgeous real life wedding.

Sarah and Jon - Married - Calgary Urban Wedding Photographer

Yay I am so happy to finally blog this beautiful rooftop urban wedding in downtown Calgary. I knew I like Jon and Sarah from the moment I met them. A little shy but so obviously perfect for each other, I was excited to capture that! Then I was blown away buy the elegant details at their wedding. Pine for Cedar did the floral design and just wow - and she happens to be Sarah’s sister in law. Sarah’s gowns with a taupe underlay was both modern and romantic, a stunner from Novia Mia. Jon’s details were hip and fresh. Okay so a rooftop wedding is just so cool, looking down at Stephen Avenue here in Calgary and the heritage facades on the buildings across the street from The Calgary Marriott. Our Mayor, Naheed Nenshi happened to be in a meeting at the hotel and came down to congratulate the couple and was a cool as can be. Sticking to the East Village area for portraits, we found adorable props like local mural artwork and a vintage bike, kindly lent to us by EV Living. It was a day to remember, with a speech from Sarah’s dad that had everyone, including myself howling with laughter and crying.
