A big thank you to Dote Magazine for featuring Leigh and Chris’ mountain wedding in their inaugural digital wedding magazine. This wedding was at Silvertip Resort, a stunning golf course and club house in Canmore, Alberta. There were so many elegant details and unbeatable views for their wedding. Branding Sessions - Calgary Lifestyle Brand Photographer

What I knew as Commercial photography or Environmental photography is now know as Branding Photography. To me is has a much less stiff edge and room to show how things are done and personalities or small business owners. Also it is great for material for websites, social media feeds and promotional materials. I have been lucky to do several over the years with local and mostly women-owned businesses. The highlight of my career is working with Google in a project on taking great wedding photos with your Google Phone. That collage was all with a phone!

I love exercise clubs now, so sleek and with some fun equipment like Junction 9 Yoga and Pilates, Barre Body Studio. I have worked with out of town destinations like Sundance Lodges Campsite. I have led photography instruction portions in workshops and so fun - modelling portfolios! I know there are lots more, but just a little note that I do branding work as well! Great photography makes all the difference in promoting you business.

This shoot came together last minute and sometimes those are the best, when your team shows you what they are really made of despite setbacks. I admire that trait so much. And I adore the colour scheme here and inspiration for a fall wedding. How about a sweater over your dress for some photos? Cute, warm and cozy. How about a rich tone sweater for the sweetest pup?

Preview -French Country Wedding Inspiration for Google - Calgary Wedding Photographer

Colin, my husband, is a fantastic nature photographer and has had his work features on Google's Instagram stories feed with images he has taken on his Google Pixel phone/camera. He approached their social media team with an idea of shooting a wedding using only phone camera technology of the Google Pixel 2. I was surprised and thrilled when they said yes and agreed to publish it on their blog and Instagram feed. The next step was to assemble a team of the finest vendors to create something that exceeded expectation. I can't wait to see it published again next month on Confetti by Calgary Bride blog and tell more of the story behind this wedding editorial.
